The ARRMA GORGON 4WD is a 1/10 scale brushed monster truck designed for new RC drivers who want tough construction, eye-catching looks, and solid performance right out of the box. This Ready-to-Run (RTR) vehicle arrives factory-assembled with a Spektrum radio system, making it easy to get started. Just add a compatible battery and charger (sold separately), and you're ready to hit the road or dirt.
Performance
Powered by a reliable MEGA 550 brushed motor and a 2S LiPo-capable ESC, the GORGON delivers moderate speed and torque for beginners while maintaining easy control. The 4WD drivetrain and wide all-terrain tires help it handle a variety of surfaces from grass and gravel to pavement, with decent traction and stability.
Design and Features
The truck features a high-clearance monster truck body with aggressive styling and durable plastic components. Oil-filled shocks, adjustable body mounts, and a composite chassis make it impact-resistant and beginner-friendly. Its modular design simplifies maintenance, with easy access to electronics and drivetrain components. The bold red shell is pre-finished with detailed graphics, so there's no painting or trimming required.
Ease of Use and Maintenance
Designed for quick setup, the GORGON RTR includes a Spektrum SLT2 2.4GHz transmitter with throttle limiting for new drivers. The ESC features waterproofing for all-weather bashing. Though it’s an RTR, note that it does not include a battery or charger, giving you flexibility in choosing your own 2S LiPo or NiMH packs.
Special Notes
Some assembly may be required for optional upgrades, but out of the box, the GORGON is a great platform to learn RC driving and basic maintenance. Add your own 7-cell NiMH or 2S LiPo battery and charger to complete the setup.
