Performance
Equipped with a sensored-brushless motor and a two-speed metal gear transmission, the SCX6 Trail Honcho offers both high and low gear ratios—ideal for slow, controlled crawling and more aggressive terrain runs. AR90 axles with metal ring & pinion gears deliver robust torque and reliable drivetrain performance in challenging terrain.
Design and Features
Based on the iconic Honcho body style adapted for the SCX6 platform, this crawler features licensed Falken Wildpeak M/T tires on Black Rhino beadlock wheels, a tube cage rear body, and detailed scale elements such as interior-detail seats and spare-tire mount. The realistic design adds strong visual presence and scale authenticity.
Build Quality
Built with durability in mind, the chassis uses stamped steel rails and a high-quality suspension layout (three-link front, four-link rear) with metal links at all critical points. The drivetrain, servos, and hardware are designed to withstand rigorous trail conditions and persistent use.
Control & Handling
Includes a Spektrum DX3 Smart 3-channel transmitter and SR515 receiver with DSMR® protocol. The Smart electronics provide telemetry data (voltage, temperature, etc.) on compatible Smart LiPo batteries. Proportional steering and throttle at this scale give accurate input, making technical crawling more controllable and responsive.
Ease of Use & Maintenance
This RTR (Ready-to-Run) model arrives mostly assembled. Users must install a compatible LiPo battery and charger before driving. Routine maintenance involves cleaning the drivetrain after trail use, checking hardware torque, and inspecting suspension and axle components for wear.
Special Notes
Transmitter, receiver, ESC, servo, and tires are included. However, a compatible 3S (11.1 V) LiPo battery and charger are not included and are required before operation.
