RocHobby 1/6 Scale 1941 MB Scaler – Military-Style Rock Crawler / Scale Truck
RocHobby 1/6 Scale 1941 MB Scaler – Military-Style Rock Crawler / Scale Truck
The RocHobby 1/6 1941 MB Scaler is a large-scale, detailed crawler styled after the World War II Willys MB military vehicle. With an injection-molded body-on-frame design, functional details like a fold-away windshield, spare wheel, and accessories such as axe & shovel, it targets enthusiasts who want both scale realism and trail capability.
Performance
Driven by a 550-size 35T brushed motor and a 60A ESC, this scaler delivers strong low-end torque for crawling and trail features rather than top speed. Its 4WD system, combined with high-grip period-correct tires, helps on roots, rocks, dirt, or packed terrain. Oil-filled shocks allow good axle articulation and a smoother ride over obstacles.
Design and Features
Styled with realistic period detail, this model includes functional front lights, fold-away windshield, spare wheel, pre-painted shovel and axe, and body-on-frame design with beadlock wheels. The body size is large: about 530.5 mm long, 258 mm wide, 270 mm high, with a wheelbase of roughly 324 mm and ground clearance ≈ 39.5 mm. Approach, departure, and breakover angles are also scale-tuned for crawling.
Build Quality
The chassis is true ladder-frame style, engineered for strength and durability. Beadlock wheels, metal-gear servos (waterproof where needed), and planetary gear reduction increase longevity. Underbody clearance is built for scale-appropriate obstacle negotiation without damaging the body.
Control & Handling
Comes with a 4-channel 2.4 GHz transmitter and receiver system that supports dual-channel EPA and reverse. Steering is strong, and the long wheelbase adds stability. The vehicle handles best at crawling speeds, where you can take advantage of its scale articulation and drivetrain setup.
Ease of Use & Maintenance
Many parts are pre-assembled or factory-installed, easing initial setup. Regular maintenance includes lubricating bearings, cleaning drivetrain components after exposure to dust or moisture, and checking screws or fasteners. Replacement parts like servos, tires, and body accessories are available through RocHobby/FMS channels.
Special Notes
Battery & charger are NOT included; required: compatible battery pack (e.g. 2S LiPo or equivalent) and charger. Also, transmitter batteries (AA cells) are NOT included.
