Performance

The Trophy Rat is powered by a Reedy 3300kV brushless motor and water-resistant ESC with T-plug and LiPo low-voltage cutoff, supporting 2S–3S LiPo or 6-cell NiMH batteries for speeds up to ~35 mph on 3S. The 2WD drivetrain, with 81mm CVA driveshafts and a 2.6:1 sealed gear differential, ensures reliable traction on dirt or gravel. The DVC receiver with adjustable gyro enhances stability across varied terrains. Adjustable V2 12mm big bore coil-over shocks provide smooth handling, though some users report spur gear wear under heavy bashing, fixable with upgrades. Traction may be limited on slick surfaces without tire swaps. The V2 slipper clutch offers external tuning for consistent power delivery.

The grey/brown polycarbonate body, pre-painted and trimmed, captures the Trophy Rat’s rat rod aesthetic with realistic Method wheels and 12mm hex-drive nuts.
